I choose the right by living gospel principles. “I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them” 1 Nephi 3:7

“Wherefore let us be faithful in keeping the commandments of the Lord”
1 Nephi 3:16
Valiant 9 - 1
My name is Jordan Stamp. Living gospel principles includes being kind, doing and saying nice things to others. It can make a big difference in someone’s life and we become more like Jesus Christ.
Valiant 9 - 2
My name is Naomi Tupu. We have learned that reverence is more than just sitting quietly; it is also thinking, and feeling with our hearts, and having our minds open to hear the truths of the gospel. Reverence is deep respect and love toward God.
Valiant 9 - 3
My name is Alton Armstrong. Honesty is telling the truth regardless of the consequence. Sometimes we may be tempted to lie to avoid the consequence of a bad choice, but being honest and facing the short term consequences will lead to a life of peace and happiness.
Valiant 9 - 4
My name is Dylan Jamison. (Share an experience of being honest regardless of the consequences.)
Valiant 9 - 5
My name is Tyler Kirk. Paying our tithing is another important principle of the gospel. It blesses our lives in many ways; the money provides for the building of temples, meetinghouses, hymnbooks, lesson books, and scriptures so that we can learn more about Heavenly Father and make important covenants with him. There are also temporal and spiritual blessings that come from paying an honest tithe.
Valiant 9 - 6
My name is Lenny Ibarra. 1 Corinthians 6:19 “know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?”  We gave been taught that our bodies are a temple and it is our responsibility to care for them by obeying the word of wisdom and dressing modestly. If we choose the right and care for our bodies we will have the blessings of being healthier and having an appropriate place for the Holy Ghost to dwell with us.
Song
“I’m Trying to be Like Jesus”
Valiant 9b & 10

Narrator 9
Ethan Goode
I choose to fill my life with things that invite the spirit. “If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things” Articles of Faith 1:13
Valiant 9 - 7
My name is Keiralynn Krause. We should find ways to help us feel the Spirit every day. We can read our scriptures, pray to Heavenly Father, come to church and listen to what our teachers are teaching us. We can also be obedient to Heavenly Father’s commandments.
Valiant 9 - 8
My name is Brody Schatzman. Having good friends can help me choose the right. “Two boys found a worn-out pair of shoes by the road. In the distance they could see a man working in a field. One of the boys suggested that they hide the shoes and then watch the man’s reaction. The other boy suggested that instead of hiding the shoes, they should put a silver coin in each one, and that’s what they did. Soon the man returned. When he found the coins, he was so overwhelmed with gratitude that he knelt down and offered a prayer of thanks. He spoke of his wife, who was sick, and his children, who had no food, and he asked the Lord to bless whoever had helped him. The boys felt something warm in their hearts and were thankful they had chosen the right” Good friends uplift us and encourage us to make the better choice.
Valiant 9 - 9
My name is Ashlyn Hansen. We should read, listen to, and look at things that are pleasing to Heavenly Father. We have many choices today in the TV shows and movies we watch, music we listen to, and sites we visit on the internet. Heavenly Father wants us to choose things that help us to feel the Spirit and draw closer to Him. It is sometimes tempting to watch or listen to things that drive the Spirit away. We should be diligent in choosing things that are pleasing to Heavenly Father so that we can be truly happy and have the blessing of the Holy Ghost as our constant companion.
Valiant 9 - 10
My name is Mackenzie Guy. The fourth commandment says, “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.” When we keep the Sabbath day holy, we can grow closer to our Heavenly Father. By learning about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, and keeping their commandments we can have the Holy Ghost with us. We also prepare for covenants we will make with Heavenly Father along the path back to heaven. We can keep the Sabbath day holy by coming to church instead of going to the store. We can have homemade meals instead of going to restaurants for meals. We can play games as a family instead of going to sports games. We can go on family walks instead of working. We can also read the scriptures or church magazines. We can do service projects, and lots of other spiritual activities on the Sabbath day. When we travel my family always tries to attend church, and is blessed because of it.
Valiant 10 – 1
Ethan
My name is Ethan Goode. There is a primary song that says “There is a right way to live and be happy, it is choosing the right every day.” The choices we make are important, they can have eternal consequences. There are consequences in every choice we make, whether they are bad or good depend on our actions. Bad choices bring about bad consequences like being unhappy and losing our freedom. Good choices bring about good consequences like being happy, feeling the Spirit, and becoming closer to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. We have the power to make good choices.

Who Remembers Blogging?

Today I was looking through some old recipes of my moms. I thought it would be nice to post them somewhere that my siblings/relatives could find them. I remembered that I had a blog and I could put the recipes on it! I may from time to time share recipes, pictures, or stories on here for everyone to enjoy!

I think I will start with the recipe that started the whole search. My brother-in-law loves my mom's German Chocolate Cake recipe, more specifically her Coconut Pecan Frosting. He mentioned that it would be really special to him if I could find it....so I did! 😇

I also found the recipe for her Coconut Pecan Frosting that she had made corrections on, I'm posting it here for your information.
